#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red (3 of 8 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so happy to see Lady Gaga - Disease (+11) take the biggest jump to the Top 20. It deserves to gain airplay this week! What an amazing week for her!

Mark Ambor - Belong Together and Charli XCX - 360 (-14) sure have been losing airplay recently. Even though I wasn't thrilled to see them take a huge biggest drop, I'm sure they're going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Akon - Akon's Beautiful Day: He has made his grand return on there this week after over a decade. And of course I've gone through some of his songs in my 2000's Billboard Decade-End Hot 100 chart post in case you remember when my blog hit 200,000 pageviews. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. With my opinion, the production was so remarkable, Akon's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this goes on there.

The Weeknd/Playboi Carti - Timeless: So they have collaborated for the second time since Popular with Madonna last year which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Popular, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Abel's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super nicely-written, the chorus was so heavenly, and Playboi Carti's rapping in his verse was so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.

David Guetta/Alphaville/Ava Max - Forever Young: The best debut this week. And of course I've found out that this song actually samples Alphaville's own hit song from 1984 of that same title, just like what Jay-Z and Mr. Hudson did with Young Forever back in 2010. To me, this was actually the best thing about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Ava's vocals were pretty heavenly, Marian Gold's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: She has made her first ever appearance on there as a solo artist. And of course if you remember, she had a Hit Bound dropout called On The Ground back in 2021, and that was a song that I enjoyed back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from On The Ground. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, both Rose and Bruno sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so glad to see this song in there. Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 3 very soon.

4. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): I know this song doesn't want to leave the Top 5 mainly because of how well it's doing at the top spot on the Hot 100. But again I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon.

3. Hozier - Too Sweet: Well I kinda expected this song to come back to the Top 3. I'm actually pleased to see that, but I don't think this song is ever going to come back to the top spot. But I'll keep it in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks.

2. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a phenomenal run on there even though the song was decent. Though I'm sure this is going to stay in the Top 3 for a while because of how well it did at the top spot. But let's see what happens next.

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso: I'm super pleased to see this song back at the top spot. I actually didn't expect it to happen, but it totally deserves it! I'm sure hoping that it should stay in there for at least a couple more weeks. Let's see how long it'll hold the spot in it's second time in there.
