#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (6th and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super duper pleased to see Charli XCX - 360 take the biggest jump after taking the biggest drop a couple weeks ago. This totally deserves to move back up! And what's also tied for the biggest jump this week was Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It (+9) as it has also moved back up and back into the Top 10 which I'm also pleased to see.

I'm not too thrilled to see Charli XCX - Apple take the biggest drop. Why would it do that? And what's also tied for the biggest drop this week which I'm also not too thrilled to see is Gracie Abrams - Close To You (-5), but I know it has been losing some airplay recently so I'm sure it's going to be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Megan Thee Stallion/Yuki Chiba - Mamushi: I'm pleased to see this song come back to the countdown. I didn't actually expect it to happen, but I'm glad that it somehow managed to be back in there. Now, hopefully it'll have a better run on it's second run in there.

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us: After being on the survey for 10 weeks and not getting a single spin until now, he has finally made his return on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Kendrick's vocals were super phenomenal especially in his flow, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Meghan Trainor - Criminals: We now have a new single and random track from the deluxe version of Timeless debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Whoops. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Meghan's vocals were marvelous, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine: The best countdown debut this week. Finally after 7 years since the loss of Chester Bennington, we now have a new lead singer from the band. She was announced a few weeks ago as being part of the band as well as the announcement of this song and their new album From Zero, which is coming out in a couple months. Her name is Emily Armstrong. I actually gave this song a first listen to see if she'll be as good as Chester Bennington and it turns out, she actually has a much better voice and I feel pretty amazed by that. Also, I feel like this was the first time that I've actually seen a female singer replace a male singer in a band. I actually thought it was actually so amazing for me because I know female singers have more of a talented voice than male singers to me. And now, they've made their first ever countdown appearance on there since One More Light (the final song before Chester's death) back in 2017. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an extremely heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was extremely heavenly, Emily's vocals were extremely heavenly, Mike Shinoda's vocals in his verse were also extremely heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, the chorus was extremely heavenly, everything here is extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up as my #1 song of the year. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: I'm fine with this song dropping. Though I'm sure this might be out of the Top 5 very soon. But it still had a nice time in there.

4. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): I actually didn't expect this song to move up. But again I'm sure this is not gonna come back to the Top 3. But I'm sure it'll be out of the Top 5 very soon.

3. Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please: I'm pleased that it's still in the Top 3, but again I'm sure this might get out of the Top 5 sometime soon.

2. Post Malone/Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help: I'm sure this song might stay in the Top 3 for at least a couple more weeks and then be out of here. I know it's because of how well it has been doing on both pop and country radio charts. But let's see what happens next.

1. Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there, but I'm sure another song might take over the top spot very soon, but let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Myles Smith - Wait For You

2. Kylie Minogue - Lights Camera Action (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Kylie Minogue - Lights Camera Action: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. She's back in there since Padam Padam last year which of course is in my Top 10 Songs of the year in case you remember. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another heavenly song. But definitely not as good as Padam Padam, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was super phenomenal, Kylie's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Jon Bellion - Kid Again: This was actually his first appearance on there since Good Things Fall Apart with ILLENIUM back in 2019 and first solo song since Overwhelming back in 2017. And now he's finally back. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Jon's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Morgan Wallen/ERNEST - Cowgirls: I've been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. And although this wasn't the only time those two collaborated but I know they also collaborated in Flower Shops which I've also heard on The Highway 2 years ago. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. With my opinion on it, the production was so amazing, Morgan's vocals were super amazing, ERNEST's vocals were also super amazing in his contribution, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Henry Moodie - Good Old Days: He replaces himself on there this week. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Right Person, Wrong Time. But definitely not as good as Macklemore and Kesha's hit song from 2018 of the same title, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Henry's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this will make the countdown soon.

Damiano David/Labrinth - Silverlines: Oh boy... here we go again. I absolutely cannot stand Labrinth as a producer and every one of his songs have the same problem. This is absolutely a garbage song and easily Damiano's worst song ever. The production was super awful, although Damiano's vocals still sound fine but it's still not enough to save the song from any faults it has. And the chorus was absolutely garbage. But the lyrics were still interesting, so I'll still give credit to that. But this is a horrible song overall for me. This better not be on the countdown. NEXT!

Alex Warren - Catch My Breath: He now has 2 songs on there which was so interesting. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another amazing song and it's actually a step up from Burning Down. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written and I actually found them that they're about her wife, which I think is so cool. And the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Balu Brigada - So Cold: We have a band from New Zealand making their debut on there this week which was so interesting. And of course I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, the vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Nightly - Every Part: Of course we remember when he had Shirt which dropped out of Hit Bound last year, and of course that was a song that I enjoyed back then. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Shirt. With my opinion on this song, the production was so marvelous, the vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
