Sabrina Carpenter (1) Week Of September 14, 2024

So I've now been blogging for 7 years. Gosh, has it really been that long since I've started blogging? Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks amazing, however there are some bad stuff happening on there including our biggest drop this week. But we do have another brand new #1 song on there which was a nice thing to see. But I'm gonna get to it later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Dua Lipa - Dance The Night (1st and only week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Sabrina Carpenter - Taste (+8) sure has been gaining lots of airplay on there recently. I'm so pleased to see it take the biggest jump, and I'm sure hoping that it should go to the Top 10 very soon.

I'm really not too thrilled to see Charli XCX - 360 (-11) take the biggest drop. Not cool, Hits 1. Not cool at all! But hopefully it'll move back up soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Halsey - Ego: She's back in there after Lonely Is The Muse dropped out of here last week. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lonely Is The Muse. With my opinion on this one, the punk rock production was so phenomenal, Halsey's vocals were super unstoppable, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: Yeah I'm sure this is going to be it's last week in the Top 5. But it still had a nice run on there, but I'm sure it's going to be out of here next week.

4. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy): It dropped out of the Top 3 this week which I kinda expected to happen. But I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 5 very soon.

3. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: I'm fine with this song back in the Top 5 and into the Top 3. But I'm sure this is definitely not going to hit the top spot. But even if it does, I'll still give credit to it.

2. Post Malone/Morgan Wallen - I Had Some Help: It dropped out of the top spot which I'm okay with. But it still had a nice run in there. Though I'm sure this might stay in the Top 5 for a few more weeks longer at the very least.

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. This is now her 3rd #1 song on there which was so amazing. Gosh, nothing can really stop her! Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

16. Myles Smith - Wait For You

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams: Since The Door hit the Top 5 on the countdown, we now have this song debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as The Door, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Teddy's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Tate McRae - It's Ok I'm Ok: She finally released this song after being leaked for a while, and now here it is on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Greedy, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Tate's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

The Weeknd - Dancing In The Flames: He's back in there since Popular last year, which of course is in my Top 10 Songs of last year in case you remember. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Popular, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Abel's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Katy Perry/Doechii - I'm His, He's Mine: She replaces herself on there this week. Though I'm not too thrilled to see Lifetimes drop out of here, but as far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lifetimes. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Katy's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, the chorus was so heavenly, and Doechii's vocals in her verse were super incredible. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Meghan Trainor - Criminals: So they've picked up another single from the deluxe version of Timeless and it's actually a random track. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Whoops. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Meghan's vocals were marvelous, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Natalie Jane - Somebody To Someone (I Just Wanna Fall In Love): Wow, another new random newcomer on there? That's so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Natalie's vocals were super unstoppable, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should make the countdown soon.

Mike Posner - Beautiful Day: He's back in there after that Hit Bound dropout last year called Optionz when he was with Mansionz and his first solo song since I'm Not Dead Yet back in 2022. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal and fun song and it's actually a step up from Optionz. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Mike's vocals were super remarkable, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Knox - Invisible: Hits 1 still continues to pick up on most of his songs (although I wish they would've picked up Happy Hour with Hardy because that was a phenomenal song for me). As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Treadmill, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so unstoppable, Knox's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Dasha - Bye Bye Bye: She also replaces herself on there this week. I know Didn't I was on there for long even though I wasn't happy to see it fail to be on the countdown. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Didn't I. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Dasha's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should be on the countdown soon.

Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Finally after 7 years since the loss of Chester Bennington, we now have a new lead singer from the band. She was announced last week as being part of the band as well as the announcement of this song and their new album From Zero, which is coming out in two months. Her name is Emily Armstrong. I actually gave this song a first listen to see if she'll be as good as Chester Bennington and it turns out, she actually has a much better voice and I feel pretty amazed by that. And now, here she is on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an extremely heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was extremely heavenly, Emily's vocals were extremely heavenly, Mike Shinoda's vocals in his verse were also extremely heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, the chorus was extremely heavenly, everything on there was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up as my #1 song of the year when it makes the countdown. Hopefully it'll make it in there very soon.
