AT40: Hozier (4) Week Of November 30, 2024

So I hope everyone's been having a great Thanksgiving on Thursday. I really did had a fun one, I thought the food was awesome and the football games were so fun. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it was so phenomenal. We are still in the Golden Ages of the countdown since we do have another song that was going to be in my top songs of the year back at the top spot which was always an amazing thing, and we do have some more amazing debuts this week as well. But like always, I'm gonna get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red (4 of 8 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so glad to see Akon - Akon's Beautiful Day (+4) take the biggest jump. What an amazing week it has been for him on there! Now, let's see if it'll go to the Top 30 soon.

I actually expected Charli XCX - 360 (-6) to take the biggest drop. It has been losing lots of airplay recently and I'm sure it's going to be out of here within the next week or so.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

LISA - Moonlit Floor: What I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Sixpence None The Richer's 1998 hit song Kiss Me, which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Lisa's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super duper nicely-written, and the chorus and samples were super heavenly and fun. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

Morgan Wallen - Love Somebody: I've been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. And of course he has made his return on there since Thinkin' Bout Me from earlier this year. Although I wish they would've picked up Cowgirls on there, but as far as this new song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from Cowgirls. But definitely not as good as Thinkin' Bout Me, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Morgan's vocals were so remarkable, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.

Koe Wetzel/Jessie Murph - High Road: The best debut this week. I've also been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. Also in case you remembered, Koe had a Hit Bound dropout called Wasted with Diplo and Kodak Black last year, and that was a song that I hated back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's definitely a humongous step up from Wasted. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Koe's vocals were so heavenly and so much better, Jessie's vocals in the second verse were pretty heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: I actually didn't expect this song to drop out of the Top 3. But maybe I'd like it to stay in the Top 5 for at least one more week and then be out of here.

4. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 5. And I'm sure this might replace Espresso in the Top 3 very soon. Let's see if it'll be in there.

3. Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso: It dropped out of the top spot again. But it still had another fun time in there, but I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 3 very soon.

2. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: It's almost at the top spot! I'm so pleased to see this song in the Top 3 and I'm sure hoping it'll go to the top spot within the next week or so.

1. Hozier - Too Sweet: I also didn't expect this song to be back at the top spot, but I'm super pleased that it's back in there. This really deserves it! But I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see how long it'll hold the spot in it's second run in there.
