Sabrina Carpenter (3) Week Of November 23, 2024

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it still looks interesting, although we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year, and of course it will forever be missed. But we do have some more interesting debuts this week, but I'm gonna get to them later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Tate McRae - Greedy (6 of 11 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so happy to see Rose/Bruno Mars - APT. and Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay (+6) take the biggest jumps this week. What a week for those three! They both deserve it!

I'm not really that thrilled to see Khalid - Heatstroke (-6) take the biggest drop. Seriously, how could it do that? But I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Shaboozey - Good News: After the success of A Bar Song (Tipsy), we now have a new song from him debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as A Bar Song (Tipsy), but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal and the beat is very similar to A Bar Song (Tipsy) which was so interesting, and Shaboozey's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

Tate McRae - 2 Hands: So I've heard that she will be dropping a new album in early 2025, and now we have another one of the songs from it making it's debut on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as It's Ok I'm Ok, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Tate's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Katy Perry/Doechii - I'm His, He's Mine: I'm glad to see this song return on there this week. Although I actually didn't expect it to happen when I thought it flopped, but I'm happy that it's back. Now, let's see how this one does on it's second run on there.

Gracie Abrams - That's So True: This song has now made it's way out of the abyss and it has now joined Close To You on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Close To You. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Gracie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should do well on there.

Billie Eilish - Wildflower: I'm okay with this song back in there. Although I didn't expect it to happen either since it hasn'r been doing something on pop radio yet, but I'll still give credit to that. Now, let's see how this one does on it's second run on there.

Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: The best countdown debut this week. We now have this song debuting on there and out of the abyss since Hot To Go is still in the Top 5. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. But definitely not as good as Hot To Go, but it's still heavenly. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Chappell's vocals were so heavenly, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Chappell Roan - Hot To Go!: I'm sure this song is going to be out of the Top 5 very soon since we now have Pink Pony Club on there. But it still had a phenomenal run in there.

4. Myles Smith - Stargazing: I'm glad to see this song move back up to this spot, but again I don't think this song is going to be in the Top 3. But let's see what happens next.

3. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: I'm pleased to see this song back in the Top 3. Now, can we please let this song be at the top spot very soon? She hasn't had one in a long time.

2. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: Yeah I'm sure this song is going to stay in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks or so. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased that it's still in there. Although I'm sure another song might take over the top spot within the next week or so, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Ariana Grande - Popular: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. So the new Wicked movie came out over the weekend, and we now have one of the songs from the soundtrack of it on there. Although I know Hits 1 doesn't usually pick up on musicals, but I know I've talked about We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto back in 2022, and I've also talked about This Is Me from The Greatest Showman back in 2018, and those two musicals were on Hits 1 back then. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Ariana's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Here's to hoping that it should make the countdown soon.

Rose - Number One Girl: I was actually expecting her to make more music after APT is starting to do well on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as APT, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Rose's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Jack Harlow - Hello Miss Johnson: He hasn't been releasing any music since Lovin On Me last year. And now, he's finally back. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Lovin On Me. With my opinion, the jazz style production was so phenomenal, Jack's vocals were super phenomenal especially in his flow, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

Twenty One Pilots - The Line: This is another one of the songs that was taken from the League Of Legends soundtrack which was so interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from The Craving. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Tyler's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Lil Nas X - Need Dat Boy: He replaces himself on there this week as Light Again is now in the abyss, which I'm actually fine with. But I gotta say, this is aso a decent song. Although I could say that this is actually a little bit of a step up from Light Again, but it's still decent. With my opinion on this song, the production still sounds so amazing, but again Nas X's vocals still don't sound good. But the lyrics were still super interesting and I could say that the chorus wasn't actually that bad. So yeah, this is another decent song overall. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Myles Smith - Nice To Meet You: This song came back on there replacing Wait For You. I'm so pleased to see it return on there. Now, let's see if this song should have another chance to be on the countdown soon.
