Sabrina Carpenter (5) Week Of January 4, 2025

So we're now officially in 2025. I'm really looking forward to see what new music we can discover and what's trending on Hits 1 throughout the year. Hopefully we should have some more new amazing songs and new artists this year! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. We do have some interesting stuff that happened on there including our biggest jump this week. But I'm gonna get to that later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Unfortunately, there are no songs leaving the countdown this week. I know it's because this is the first countdown of the year and we don't usually have exits on the first countdown of every year. So, let's get right into the countdown.

I'm so pleased to see Meghan Trainor - Criminals (+5) in the Top 10 by taking the biggest jumps this week. It really deserves to be in there! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 5 soon.

I'm not too thrilled to see Shaboozey - Good News (-6) take the biggest drop. How could it do that? It should be gaining airplay and not losing any! But hopefully it'll move back up soon.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: Yeah I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 5 very soon. Maybe I'd like it to be in there for one more week and then it'll be on it's way out of here.

4. Gracie Abrams - Close To You: Yeah I'm sure this is probably going to end up being it's last week in there. But again it still had a nice run in there, but I'm sure it's going to be the end of it.

3. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: I'm still waiting for this song to get to the top spot, but I don't think it's actually going to happen. But maybe I might be right, but we're gonna have to see.

2. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: It dropped out of the top spot again. But it still had another nice time in there. Though I'd like it to stay in the Top 5 for at least a few more weeks or so.

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: I actually didn't expect this song to come back to the top spot, but I'm so pleased that it somehow did it. I know it's because Hits 1 really loves her music. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot on it's third run in there.

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Ariana Grande/Cynthia Erivo - What Is This Feeling?: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. We've now picked up a third song from Wicked on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Popular and Defying Gravity and probably my favorite song from the soundtrack. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, both Ariana and Cynthia sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were super duper nicely-written, and the chorus was super heavenly. Here's to hoping that it will make the countdown pretty soon.

Nessa Barrett - Pins And Needles: She replaces herself on there this week. Although I wasn't happy to see Mustang Baby failing to debut the countdown, but as far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Mustang Baby, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Nessa's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
