AT40: Rose (1) Week Of February 8, 2025

So the Super Bowl is this weekend. I'm super excited to watch it! The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be playing in it this time. Both teams have played each other in a Super Bowl 2 years ago and the Chiefs have beaten the Eagles back then. But this time, I'm going for the Eagles to win in it. And I'm also looking forward to seeing Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance. Hopefully he does an amazing job on it! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so phenomenal. We do have one debut that was going to be in my top songs of the year and we also have another brand new #1 song on there this week. But like always, I'm gonna get to that later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 40, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams (+9) sure has been gaining some airplay throughout the week. I'm so glad to see this song take the biggest jump. What a week for him! Now, hopefully this should go to the Top 20 soon.

I'm not really that thrilled to see The Weeknd - Dancing In The Flames (-15) take the biggest drop. But I do know it's starting to lose airplay so I'm sure it's going to be out of here sometime soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Jennie - Mantra: This was actually her first solo appearance on there after her feature on The Weeknd's song One Of The Girls last year and now we have 3 members from Blackpink having a solo song on there which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Jennie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Lola Young - Messy: The best debut this week. I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. And now, she has made her first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Lola's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Billie Eilish - Birds Of A Feather: I'm still fine with this song still in the Top 5, but I'm sure this will be staying in there for at least a few more weeks or so. But let's see what happens next.

4. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: It dropped out of the Top 3. But it still had an amazing long run in there. But maybe I'll keep it in the Top 5 for at least a couple more weeks and then be on it's way out of here.

3. Myles Smith - Stargazing: It dropped out of the top spot again. But it still had another fun time in there last week. But I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 3 within the next week or so.

2. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: Yeah I'd like it to stay in the Top 3 for at least a few more weeks or so. But maybe it might drop out of the Top 3 very soon, but let's see what happens next with it.

1. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: I'm so pleased to see this song at the top spot. And now, this song has now become her first ever #1 song on there which was absolutely an amazing thing to see. Now, let's see how long it'll hold the spot.
