AT40: Rose (2) Week Of February 15, 2025

As far as the Super Bowl goes, I thought that it was actually super phenomenal. The Eagles have won that one 40-22. It is their second Super Bowl title in team history. I'm super pleased to see the Eagles win it. And I'm also pleased to see Jalen Hurts get his first ever Super Bowl title. He was also the Super Bowl MVP this year which was absolutely amazing. He totally deserves his first Super Bowl title! And I also thought Kendrick Lamar did a phenomenal job at the halftime show. He even brought SZA along in some of his songs which was absolutely phenomenal. They absolutely nailed their performances! But yeah, this is such a phenomenal game overall. Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so amazing and interesting. We do have one debut that was going to be in my top songs of the year and we have another interesting Top 5 this week. But like always, I'm gonna get to them later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 40, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Tate McRae - Greedy (7th and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super pleased to see Lola Young - Messy (+12) take the biggest jumps. It really has been gaining lots of airplay on pop radio this week. It totally deserves to do that! What a week for her! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 20 soon.

I actually expected Tate McRae - It's Ok I'm Ok (-15) to take the biggest drop this week. I know it has been losing airplay recently so I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Rose - Toxic Till The End: Since APT hit the top spot, we now have this song debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from APT and Number One Girl. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Rose's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were pretty amazing, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should do amazing on there.

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!: I totally didn't expect this song to come back in there. But I'm actually glad that it somehow did it. Now, let's see how this one does on it's second run in there.

Tate McRae - Sports Car: The best debut this week. And I've noticed that this song actually samples the Pussycat Dolls's 2005 hit song Buttons, which was actually super interesting because this song is really giving me vibes of 2000's pop. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's definitely the best song that I've ever heard from her. It's definitely a huge step up from 2 Hands and all of her other songs. With my opinion on this one, the production was so heavenly, Tate's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

Teddy Swims - Lose Control: I also totally didn't expect this song to come back in there. But I'm actually glad to see it do that as well somehow. Now, let's see how far this one goes on it's second run in there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem: I'm pleased to see this song in the Top 5. It really deserves to be in there! And I'm sure this song is going to be in the Top 3 within the next week or so. Hopefully I'm right.

4. Myles Smith - Stargazing: I actually expected this song to drop out of the Top 3. But it still had an amazing run in there. But I'm sure it's about to be on it's way out of here.

3. Sabrina Carpenter - Taste: I'm sure this song is going to be out of the Top 3 very soon and maybe Bed Chem will replace it. But let's see what happens next.

2. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: I somehow didn't expect this song to make it back to the Top 3. But I'm still glad with that, but I'm sure it might stay in there for a few more weeks or so.

1. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. I'm so pleased to see this song still at this spot. It really has been getting so popular on pop radio recently. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
