Rose (5) Week Of February 8, 2025

So again the Super Bowl is this weekend. I'm super excited to watch it! The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are playing in it this time. It's going to be a rematch from Super Bowl 57 from 2 years ago. The Chiefs have beaten the Eagles back then but this time, I'm going for the Eagles to win it. And I'm also looking forward to Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance. Hopefully he does an amazing job in it! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so interesting. We do have some more interesting debuts and we also have quite another amazing Top 5 this week. But I'm going to get to that later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Dua Lipa - Houdini (2 of 8 weeks at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm super duper pleased to see Lola Young - Messy and David Guetta/Alphaville/Ava Max - Forever Young (+7) take the biggest jumps this week. They both totally deserves to take them! Now, hopefully they'll go to the Top 10 very soon.

Morgan Wallen - Love Somebody (-7) is somehow starting to lose airplay on pop radio recently. Although I wasn't that thrilled to see it take the biggest drop, I'm sure this is going to be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Kendrick Lamar - Squabble Up: This was actually perfect timing for it's countdown debut since he's gonna perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday. I'm hoping that he'll perform this song and maybe some of his old songs. Anyway. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal and fun song. But definitely not as good as Not Like Us, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Kendrick's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.

Sexyy Red/Bruno Mars - Fat Juicy & Wet: I know Hits 1 actually calls it "Fat Juicy &", which was actually so funny. But I'd rather call it by the original name instead. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, both Sexyy Red and Bruno sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Lady Gaga - Abracadabra: The best countdown debut this week. This was actually the third song to debut straight onto the countdown and skipping Hit Bound on it's release week, the last two being Maroon 5 - Cold back in 2017 and Shawn Mendes - In My Blood back in 2018. That was actually super interesting for this song to do that. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Disease. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Gaga's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. Let's see how far this one goes on there.

The Weeknd - Cry For Me: So he has dropped his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow last week, and now we have one of the songs from it debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Timeless. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Abel's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were so miraculous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Gracie Abrams - That's So True: Can we please not let this song move down and get to the Top 3? I don't really want it out of the Top 5, but hopefully it'll move back up and get to the Top 3 very soon.

4. Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem: I'm glad to see this song move up. Now, I'm sure hoping that it should go to the Top 3 within the next week or so. Hopefully it'll happen.

3. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: I have a feeling that this song is going to drop out of the Top 3 since it's moving down after spending a while at the #2 spot. But let's see what happens next.

2. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: It's almost at the top spot! I'm so pleased to see it move up to that spot. But can she go 3 for 3 with countdown songs at the top spot? Hopefully it'll happen. Let's see if this song should go to the top spot soon.

1. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: Holding the top spot for the 5th week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been doing super amazing on there. Although I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see if it'll stay in there or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Djo - Basic Being Basic

2. Doechii - Denial Is A River (DEBUT)

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Doechii - Denial Is A River: So I've heard that she recently won a Grammy for Best Rap Album and then after that... we have a new song from her debuting on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from What It Is (Block Boy). With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Doechii's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Ava Max - Lost Your Faith: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. Since her feature with David Guetta and Alphaville on Forever Young is still currently doing so well on pop radio recently, we've now picked up a new solo single from her this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Spot A Fake. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Ava's vocals were pretty heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was super heavenly. And I also like when she interpolated Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen at the end which was actually super interesting. Here's to hoping that this should make the countdown soon.

LISA/Doja Cat/Raye - Born Again: So I've heard that her debut solo album is coming out soon, and now we've picked up a single from her upcoming album on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Moonlit Floor, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Lisa, Doja and Raye all sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this will be on the countdown soon.

Shinedown - Three Six Five: We now have a new single from them after A Symptom Of Being Human didn't do too well on there last year. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal al song and it's actually a step up from A Symptom Of Being Human. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Brent's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Nessa Barrett - American Beauty: She replaces herself on there once again. Although Love Looks Pretty On You deserve to be on the countdown, but oh well. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Love Looks Pretty On You, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Nessa's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so miraculous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Alex Warren - Ordinary: This is absolutely another amazing song and it's actually a step up from Burning Down. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was super phenomenal. And I'm sure this is going to debut the countdown when Burning Down hits the Top 10 or Top 5 which I'm sure it might happen very soon. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender: I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. Also, does anybody remember this French electronic music duo? They had a song on there called D.A.N.C.E back in 2007, and that was a fun song for me back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as D.A.N.C.E, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Tame Impala's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.

Tyla - Push 2 Start: I'm glad to see this song come back to there. I actually didn't expect it to happen though. But it really deserves to do that! Now, let's see if this should have another chance to be on the countdown soon.
