Chappell Roan (2) Week Of March 1, 2025
So we are now officially in the month of March and so far the first 2 months have been so amazing with music this year. Hopefully we keep things up! Anyway. This Week's Mover and Shaker:
I'm so glad to see The Weeknd/Playboi Carti - Timeless (+8) gain some airplay on there throughout the week and taking the biggest jump. What a week for them! Now, hopefully it'll go to the Top 10 soon.
I'm not too thrilled about The Weeknd - Cry For Me (-7) taking the biggest drop. How could it do that? This totally doesn't deserve to take it! But hopefully it'll move back up very soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Avery Anna - Mr. Predictable: The best countdown debut this week. She has finally made her first ever countdown appearance this week after Narcissist dropped out of Hit Bound back in 2022. And of course I've been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Narcissist. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Avery's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.
Tate McRae - Revolving Door: So she has released her new album So Close To What last week, and now we have a song from it debuting on the countdown this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Sports Car, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Tate's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.
Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman: After dropping out of Hit Bound last week, it's finally time for this song to debut on there this week. And of course I've heard that we've now have a deluxe version of Short N Sweet which contains a remix of Please Please Please with Dolly Parton and this new song that makes it's countdown debut this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Bed Chem. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Sabrina's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so remarkable, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this gets on there.
Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco/Gracie Abrams - Call Me When You Break Up: After Love On flopped so hard that she had to cancel her new album, she decided that she wanted to release a new collab album with Benny, her fiance which was super interesting. And this song was actually the single instead of that horrible Scared Of Loving You which I think is so amazing because this is a much better song than Scared Of Loving You. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Selena's vocals were super phenomenal, Gracie's vocals were super incredible in her contribution, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this one goes on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem: Can we please let this song stop moving down and get to the Top 3? We all know it's her, she's a no-stranger to the top spot, so hopefully this should move up and not be out of the Top 5 next week.
4. Gracie Abrams - That's So True: I'm so pleased to see this song move up. This really deserves to do it! And I'm really hoping that this should go to the Top 3 next week.
3. Rose/Bruno Mars - APT.: Yeah I'm sure this song is going to stay in the Top 3 for a few more weeks because of how well it did at the top spot on there. Let's see how long it'll remain in there.
2. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: Gosh, this song sure has been in the Top 3 for quite a while. But I'm sure this is going to be out of here very soon. But let's see what happens next.
1. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. The Pink Pony Club is still open as of this week! I'm so pleased to see this song still at this spot. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else: He has made his return on there after Pretty Slowly didn't do so well on the countdown last year. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Pretty Slowly. With my opinion, the production was super amazing, Benson's vocals were so phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was super phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Lizzo - Love In Real Life: She's finally back after 2 years of not making new music which was super amazing. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Special, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal and it actually gave me some Prince vibes, Lizzo's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
LISA - Fxck Up The World (Vixi Solo Version): Of course Hits 1 actually picked up the solo version without Future, which isn't actually a good thing for me because I really liked Future's verse in it but oh well. As far as the song goes even without him, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Born Again, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Lisa's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Emei - Crazy Stupid Love: Of course we remember when she had that Hit Bound dropout last year called Love Me Not, and that was a song that I liked back then. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Love Me Not. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Emei's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Steve Aoki/Trippie Redd/Jessica Baio/KABU - Radio: He has made his big return on there since Waste It On Me with BTS when it was on the countdown back in 2019 which was super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal and fun song and it's actually a step up from Waste It On Me. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, both Trippie and Jessica sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was so heavenly and super fun. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.
Halsey - Safeword: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. It's always a nice thing for her to go back to rock since The Great Impersonator sucked so hard. As far as this new song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Ego. With my opinion on this song, the punk rock production was so phenomenal, Halsey's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super incredible, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this will make the countdown soon.
Dasha - Not At This Party: I've also been hearing this song a lot on The Highway. Gosh, Hits 1 sure has been picking up on every song from her ever since the start of her music career last year. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so incredible, Dasha's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so miraculous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Damiano David - Next Summer: We've now picked up a new single from him since Born With A Broken Heart continues to lose lots of airplay on pop radio. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Born With A Broken Heart. With my opinion on it, the production was so remarkable, Damiano's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so marvelous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
