Chappell Roan (4) Week Of March 22, 2025
As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it actually looks super duper amazing. We do have another song that was going to be in my top songs of the year debuting on there this week, and we also have quite another interesting Top 5. But as always, I'm gonna get to that later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Dua Lipa - Houdini (8th and final week at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
Gigi Perez - Sailor Song (+5) took the biggest jump and it looks like it's moving back up which was a great thing for me. I'm so pleased to see it do that.
I actually didn't expect Rose/Bruno Mars - APT. (-11) to take the biggest drop all the way out of the Top 10 from the Top 3. I know it's still doing so well on pop radio recently, but it looks like it's starting to lose airplay on there so I'm sure this is going to be out of here sometime soon.
New Song/s on the countdown this week are:
Lizzo - Still Bad: She has now brought her second song on there this week while Love In Real Life is still on the process of becoming a hit or not. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Love In Real Life, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal and I really love the alt vibes they have on there, Lizzo's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how this one does on there.
Chappell Roan - The Giver: Since Pink Pony Club is still doing so well, we now have this song joining it on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it actually feels a little bit like a country song. But definitely not as good as Pink Pony Club, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this song, the country production was so phenomenal, Chappell's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.
Doechii - Anxiety: The best countdown debut this week. And what I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Gotye and Kimbra's 2012 hit song Somebody That I Used To Know, mostly because it uses the same melody. And of course she originally posted this song on her YouTube channel back in 2019, but now she has officially released it a couple weeks ago. Now, Somebody That I Used To Know was actually in my Top 10 Songs of 2012 in case you remember when I reviewed it in my 2010's Billboard Hot 100 Decade-End Chart when my blog hit 100,000 pageviews a few years ago because that song was heavenly. So I was really looking forward to giving this song a first listen and it turns out, this has got to be the best song that I've ever heard from her. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's definitely a humongous step up from Denial Is A River and all of her other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production and samples were so heavenly, Doechii's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a huge fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. And of course since I mentioned that Somebody That I Used To Know was in my Top 10 Songs of 2012, this new song is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year as well. Hopefully this should become a huge hit on there which I'm sure it's going to since it samples a super popular song from the 2010's. Let's see how far this goes on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams: It debuted the Top 5 this week. I'm so glad to see this song in there. It really deserves it! Now, let's see if this should go to the Top 3 soon.
4. Gracie Abrams - That's So True: It dropped out of the top spot. But it still had a nice time in there last week. But I'd like it to stay in the Top 5 for at least a few more weeks and then be out of here.
3. Lady Gaga - Abracadabra: It also debuted the Top 5 this week and now it's in the Top 3. I'm also pleased to see this song in there especially in the Top 3. Now, hopefully this should go to the top spot soon.
2. Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem: Finally it's in the Top 3! Gosh, this really deserves to be in there. And it's almost at the top spot so hopefully within the next week or so it'll be in there.
1. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: The club is back open! I'm so pleased to see this song back at the top spot. But I'm sure another song might take over the top spot next week, but let's see how long it'll hold the spot in it's second run in there.

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:
Jonas Brothers - Love Me To Heaven: This was actually their first solo song in 2 years which was actually super interesting. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from Slow Motion. With my opinion on it, the production was so amazing, both Joe and Nick's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
Sombr - Undressed: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. And of course I've also been hearing his other song Back To Friends on Alt Nation recently. And now he has made his first ever appearance on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Back To Friends. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Sombr's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it makes the countdown. Hopefully it'll be in there soon.
Jon Bellion - WASH: He's now back on there after Kid Again dropped out of Hit Bound last year. Although I actually miss Kid Again because that was a great song. But as far as this new song goes, it's definitely another amazing song. But definitely not as good as Kid Again, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Jon's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco - Bluest Flame: So she has finally released her first new album in 5 years which was actually so nice to see. I've actually been waiting for her to do it throughout the years, and now the wait is finally over! As far as this new song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Call Me When You Break Up, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion, the production was so phenomenal, Selena's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this will make the countdown soon.
Jennie - Like Jennie: What I've noticed about this song is that it was actually produced by Diplo, which I think is super interesting although he wasn't credited to be featured in the song. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal and fun song. But definitely not as good as Handlebars, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Jennie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.
Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not: I've found out that there's also apparently a Rex Orange County remix of this song, which of course I haven't listened to yet. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Ravyn's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly and fun. Here's to hoping that it should be on the countdown soon.
Jack Harlow/Doja Cat - Just Us: I'm actually a bit surprised that those two artists haven't collaborated even though they have been making music for 5 years. But as far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from Hello Miss Johnson. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Jack's vocals were super phenomenal especially in his flow, Doja's vocals were super incredible in her verse, the lyrics were so interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see if this should be on the countdown soon.
