#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:
Teddy Swims - Lose Control (2 of 3 weeks at #1)
This Week's Mover and Shaker:
For the second week in a row, Doechii - Anxiety (+6) took the biggest jump. I'm super pleased to see it do that once again. And now it's in the Top 20 which totally deserves that. Now, hopefully it'll get to the Top 10 very soon.
Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem (-5) took the biggest drop out of the Top 5, but at least it's still in the Top 10 which is still nice. But I'm sure this song is now officially on it's way out of here.
New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:
Chris Brown - Residuals: He has made his return on there since Summer Too Hot was in there 2 years ago. And I also last talked about him when Angel Numbers / Ten Toes was on that fake Hit Bound back on Thanksgiving weekend 2023. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song and it's actually a step up from Summer Too Hot. With my opinion, the production was so amazing, Chris's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.
Miley Cyrus - End Of The World: She's now officially back in there after a year and a half off of making new music. Gosh, I've really been waiting for her to make new music again and have her come back on there, and now she's finally back. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Used To Be Young, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal, Miley's vocals were super phenomenal, I'm definitely a huge fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was so heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.
Alex Warren - Ordinary: Since Burning Down left this week, he now replaces himself with a new single that we've gotten on there. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another amazing song and it's actually a step up from Burning Down. With my opinion on this song, the production was so amazing, Alex's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were so nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. Let's see how this one does on there.
Ed Sheeran - Azizam: The best debut this week. He also made his return on there after 2 years off of making new music. And of course he hasn't made an upbeat song in 3 years but now it's finally about time for him to make a new one. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's actually a step up from American Town. With my opinion on this song, the production was so phenomenal, Ed's vocals were super incredible, the lyrics were super marvelous, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should do well on there.
My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:
5. Lola Young - Messy: I'm super pleased to see this song in the Top 5. This totally deserves to be in there! Although I'm not sure if it'll go to the Top 3, but I'm sure hoping that it will be in there soon.
4. Gracie Abrams - That's So True: I'm glad that it's still in the Top 5, but again I'm sure it's going to be out of here very soon. Maybe I'd like it in there for at least one more week or so.
3. Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile: Yeah I think it's time for this song to be out of the Top 3. It has been in there for quite a long time. I'm sure this is going to be it's last week in there. But again it still had a phenomenal long run in there.
2. Kendrick Lamar/SZA - Luther: I'm super pleased to see it in the Top 3. And now it's almost at the top spot! Though I'm not sure if it'll be in there, but I'm really hoping that it will do it soon.
1. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club: Holding the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. The club still remains open as of this week! I'm so pleased that it's still at the top spot. Gosh, I feel like this song is going to end up as her biggest hit song in her music career. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
