Lady Gaga (4) Week Of May 3, 2025

So we are now officially in the month of May and now I only have one more month left of my final year of college! Gosh, I'm so ready to graduate next month and start looking for a job very soon! Anyway. As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks so phenomenal, although we did get rid of a song that was going to be in my top songs of the year. But we did replace it with another song that was going to be in there which was actually an amazing thing. But as always, I'm gonna get to that later on in this post. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! Before we get to this week's Fresh 30, here are the songs dropping out of the countdown this week.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

Benson Boone - Beautiful Things (2nd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

I'm so glad to see Alex Warren - Ordinary (+11) gain lots of airplay on there this week. What an amazing week it has been for him! Now, hopefully this should get to the Top 10 soon.

I really am not happy to see Lola Young - Messy (-6) take the biggest drop. I know this doesn't deserve it, but I know it has been in there for a while so I'm sure this is going to be out of here soon.

New Song/s on the countdown this week are:

Zara Larsson - Pretty Ugly: The best countdown debut this week. She has finally made her return on the countdown in 2 years since On My Love flopped. As far as this new song goes, it's absolutely a super heavenly song and this is definitely the best song that I've ever heard from her on there. It's definitely a humongous step up from On My Love and all of her other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production was super heavenly, Zara's vocals were extremely heavenly, the lyrics were extremely heavenly, and the chorus was extremely heavenly and I really love all the screaming from it. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 5 Songs of the year. Hopefully this should become a huge hit on there.

Lorde - What Was That: She has also made her grand return on the countdown in over 9 years. And it's actually her first ever appearance on there since Magnets with Disclosure back in 2016 and the first solo song since Team back in 2014. And of course I've been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's actually a step up from Solar Power. With my opinion on this song, the production was super phenomenal, Lorde's vocals were so heavenly, the lyrics were pretty interesting, and the chorus was super heavenly. Let's see how far this goes on there.

Benson Boone - Mystical Magical: What I've noticed about this song is that it actually samples Olivia Newton-John's 1981 hit song Physical which was actually super amazing about it. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song and it's definitely the best song that I've ever heard from him. It's definitely a step up from Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else and all of his other songs. With my opinion on this song, the production and samples were super phenomenal, Benson's vocals were so heavenly, I'm definitely a humongous fan of the lyrics, and the chorus was super heavenly. Hopefully this should become a hit on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Tate McRae - Sports Car: Yeah I'm not sure if it'll go to the Top 3, but maybe I'd like it to spend at least a few more weeks or so in the Top 5. Or maybe it might be shorter than that.

4. Selena Gomez/Benny Blanco/Gracie Abrams - Call Me When You Break Up: Yeah I'm sure this song is definitely not going to the top spot. But I know it dropped out of the Top 3, but I'd like it to stay in the Top 5 for about a couple more weeks.

3. Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams: I'm glad to see this song back in the Top 3. I actually didn't expect it to be back in there though. But I'm not sure if it'll go to the top spot, but let's see what happens next.

2. Rose - Toxic Till The End: Yeah I'm not sure if it'll go to the top spot mostly because of what's going on in there. But maybe it might drop out of here sometime soon.

1. Lady Gaga - Abracadabra: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Gosh, this song sure has been doing super duper amazing with airplay on there recently. I'm so pleased that it's still in there once again. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.

Now, let's review this week's Hit Bound:

1. Kesha/T-Pain - Yippee-Ki-Yay

New Song/s on Hit Bound this week are:

Ed Sheeran - Old Phone: Since Azizam hit the Top 10 on the countdown, we've now picked up a new single from him on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely an amazing song. But definitely not as good as Azizam, but it's still amazing. With my opinion, the production was so amazing although it is a bit slow but it's still sounds amazing, Ed's vocals were super amazing, the lyrics were very nicely-written, and the chorus was so phenomenal. And I'm sure it's going to debut the countdown when Azizam hits the Top 5 or the top spot on the countdown. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Maroon 5/LISA - Priceless: They've finally back after 2 years off of making new music. Gosh, I've really been waiting and waiting for them to make new music and come back in there in the first place, and now it has finally happened. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song and it's definitely a step up from Middle Ground. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, both Adam and Lisa sound super phenomenal, the lyrics were pretty miraculous, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon.

The Paradox - Do Me Like That: The best Hit Bound entrant this week. We now have an African-American pop-punk band making their debut on there this week which I think is super interesting. And of course I've also been hearing this song a lot on Alt Nation. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a heavenly song. With my opinion on this song, the production was so heavenly, Eric Dangerfield's vocals were super heavenly, the lyrics were definitely what I'm a humongous fan of, and the chorus was extremely heavenly. This is definitely going to end up in my Top 10 Songs of the year when it makes the countdown. I'm really hoping that it should be in there very soon.

Dove Cameron - French Girls: We've now picked up another new single from her after Too Much dropped out of here 2 weeks ago. But I gotta say, this is also a decent song. There's really not much interesting to say about this song. Although I could say that this is actually a step up from Too Much, but it's still decent. The production actually sounds so phenomenal here, but again Dove's vocals still don't sound good here. But I could say that the chorus was decent and I don't really mind the lyrics because I think they're still so remarkable. But this is decent overall. Let's see if it'll be on the countdown soon.

Jessie Murph - Blue Strips: After Sip dropped out of here late last year, she's now officially back on there this week. As far as the song goes, it's definitely another phenomenal song. But definitely not as good as Sip, but it's still phenomenal. With my opinion on this one, the production was so phenomenal and fun, Jessie's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super interesting, and the chorus was so heavenly. Hopefully it'll be on the countdown soon, but I'm sure there's going to be a 0.01% chance of doing that because I know she's been having a lot of Hit Bound dropouts lately. But let's see if it'll end up on the countdown soon.
