AT40: Doechii (4) Week Of June 21, 2025

As far as the countdown goes, I thought that it looks great, although we did get rid of a song that was in my top songs of last year, but we do have some more interesting stuff happening on there except for one of our debuts this week. But I'm gonna have more on that later on in this post like always. But other than that, I don't have anything else to say here, so let's get to it! #1 Song This Week One Year Ago:

SZA - Saturn (2nd and final week at #1)

This Week's Mover and Shaker:

Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae - What I Want (+6) sure has been gaining lots of airplay on both country radio and pop radio recently. What a week for both of them! I'm so pleased to see it take the biggest jump. It really deserves it! Now, hopefully it'll get to the Top 20 very soon.

I'm actually fine with Gigi Perez - Sailor Song (-6) taking the biggest drop. It's actually been in there for quite a while so I'll still give credit to that. But I'm sure this is definitely going to be out of here very soon.

New Song/s on the AT40 this week are:

Haven Madison - Castle: This is the only great debut we have this week. I've actually heard a couple of her songs which are Monster and Obsessed last year and those were pretty good songs so I was hoping that she should make her debut on there, and now here she is. As far as the song goes, it's definitely a phenomenal song. With my opinion on it, the production was so phenomenal, Haven's vocals were super phenomenal, the lyrics were super nicely-written, and the chorus was so heavenly and I really fell in love with it. Let's see how this one does on there.

Charli XCX - Party 4 U: This song was actually released in 2020 and apparently it's trending on TikTok and now it just got popular. I really have no idea why it's trending on TikTok recently, but my gosh this song was so awful and repetitive and easily one of the worst songs that I've ever heard from her. There really is nothing good to say about this song. The production was so generic, Charli's vocals were so awful, and the last half of the song was just her repeating "party on you" over and over which gets super annoying. I really hate it when singers repeat lines over and over in a song because it gets so annoying when they do that. So yeah, awful song overall. This is definitely going to end up in my Bottom 10 Songs of the year. Hopefully this does poorly on there.

My Opinions/My Thoughts On The Top 5:

5. Kendrick Lamar/SZA - Luther: Yeah I'm sure this song is about to be on its way out of here. But it still had quite an incredible run on there which was still great. But I'm sure this is definitely going to be out of the Top 5 next week.

4. The Weeknd - Cry For Me: I'm glad to see this song move up. This really needed to do that! Now, can we please let this song get to the Top 3 next week?

3. Alex Warren - Ordinary: Yeah I don't think this song is ever going to hit the top spot. But I'm sure this is going to be out of the Top 3 within the next week or so.

2. Tate McRae - Sports Car: I'm still waiting for this song to get to the top spot, although I'm sure it might end up staying blocked from there, but I'm really hoping that it does not.

1. Doechii - Anxiety: Holding the top spot for the 4th week in a row. Gosh, nothing can really stop this song from getting popular on there recently. I'm super pleased that it's still in there once again. Now, let's see if it'll stay in there next week or not.
